When making health changes, think about your motivation. I like to ask, “what is your why?” when I work with a new health coaching client. Your reason might be “to be more present for my family and friends,” or “to have more energy for my work,” or even “to live long enough to know my grandchildren.” Those are all great reasons. They can motivate you to make long-lasting lifestyle changes that will give you better health and vitality.
You Are Enough
But I would like you to consider an even more fundamental reason. In addition to spending time with the people you love, doing your important work, and achieving your goals and milestones, there is the simple fact that you are enough. You deserve energy and vitality, wellness and comfort, and you deserve to thrive. You are worth your time and attention, and care.
I plan to share a lot of health information here, including lifestyle changes around food, movement, hydration, stress reduction, sleep, and more. I thought about how I wanted to start my first post. Where do I begin? I realized the most basic foundation of good health is that you are worth the time and effort it takes to care for your well-being.
I know many of us are pressed for time, and I plan to share tips for how to create a healthy lifestyle that fits easily into the life you have now. Healthy living does not have to be complicated; it should be joyful, rewarding, and fun! But it will require some changes. You’ll need to set aside a little time to create some simple, fresh, home-cooked meals. You’ll leave space for a refreshing and energizing walk when you adjust your daily routine. You’ll find a few minutes of quiet time for stress reduction and mindfulness. I am here to help you do that!
And you, my dear friend, are worth it!
